Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician

Are you ready to take on an exciting role in our growing Service Department? Our Grande Prairie location is seeking an energetic and responsible Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team full-time on the evening shift (4:00 pm – 12:30 am, Monday to Friday).
As the ideal candidate, you are a team player with a positive attitude, capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment. You bring valuable truck and transport experience, with a strong preference for Cummins and Paccar systems knowledge. Job Description and Responsibilities:

Duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
    components of a variety of heavy and medium duty trucks equipped with diesel engines and automatic or manual transmissions.
  • Completes all maintenance and repair activities in a safe manner and ensures work area is clean and organized according to company policies and procedures.
  • Conducts business on behalf of Stahl Peterbilt in a professional manner and represents Stahl Peterbilt culture to ensure fulfillment of company vision and values.

Employment Qualifications:

  • Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician Certificate or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of related experience.
  • Cumins and Paccar experience is considered a strong asset.
  • CVIP license considered an asset.
  • Class 3 or 1 drivers license considered an asset.
  • MX, CAT, and/or Cummins training will be considered an asset.
  • Ability to understand and effectively use computer equipment including computers for diagnostics.
  • Must have own tools.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment medical, physical and criminal record check prior to hiring.
