Body Shop Leadhand

We are searching for a motivated and experienced Journeyman Auto Body Tech to fulfill the role of full time Body Shop Leadhand in Edmonton. The successful candidate will have excellent decision making skills and heavy truck experience.

Job Description and Responsibilities:

Duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
  • Supervision of Technicians and provide constructive feedback to develop the technician’s skills in truck repair
  • Repair or replace damaged body parts back to pre-accident condition with factory and dealership specifications
  • Set a good example for workmanship and being a team player
  • Provide technical support for technicians
  • Comply with Company Health & Safety Program, Occupational Health & Safety Legislation and any other municipal, provincial or federal legislation as it applies to this dealership

Employment Qualifications:

  • Must be a certified Journeyman Auto Body Technician or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of related experience is essential
  • Intermediate computer skills are necessary, i.e. Microsoft Office Suite
  • Professionalism, communication skills, and leadership qualities are important characteristics to be successful in this position
  • Knowledge of NSM program is an asset
  • Specializing in prepping, refinishing, sheet metal and plastics repair, and/or frame straightening is an asset
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment medical and criminal record check prior to hiring
