Auto Body Technician

We are searching for energetic and responsible Journeyman Auto Body Technicians or 3rd/4th year Apprentices to work full time in Edmonton. A successful candidate will be a team player with a positive attitude who has heavy truck experience.

Job Description and Responsibilities:

Duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
  • Repair and replace damaged vehicle structures and body components, prepare for refinishing, and apply interior and exterior finishes
  • Welding, routine body work, metal fabrication, sanding, body filler, fiberglass repair
  • Repair and replace interior and exterior components such as instrument panels, seat frame assemblies, carpets and floorboard insulation, trim panels and mouldings
  • Work out minor damage in body panels, fenders, skirting and sheet metal trim, and weld torn metal
  • Removal and replacement of windows
  • Inspect vehicles for dimensional accuracy, proper alignment and handling use frame machines to straighten bent frames
  • Mixing and application of primers

  • Employment Qualifications:

    • Strong attention to detail with excellent verbal communication skills
    • Previous experience working on heavy duty trucks and/or equipment is preferred
    • Specializing in prepping, refinishing, sheet metal and plastics repair, and/or frame straightening is an asset
    • Must be a certified Journeyman Auto Body Technician or 3rd/4th Year Apprentice
    • Must be able to pass a pre-employment medical and criminal record check prior to hiring
