As the successful candidate you will be an excellent communicator with a passion for forging strong relationships with your customers and co-workers alike, you will have a passion and extensive knowledge for heavy and medium duty truck parts. This exciting position involves travel throughout central and northern Alberta, with some evenings, weekends, and overnight stays required. Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Develop, maintain, and strengthen strong business relationships with clients to build business opportunities.
- Performs on site sales calls to new and existing customers in designated area to deliver new parts, pick up warrantied parts, discuss sales orders, and provide aftermarket parts support to ensure continuing success of Parts business.
- Responds in person, by telephone, and e-mail to customer inquiries, issues, and concerns proficiently and professionally. Liaises with internal support staff to provide thorough customer follow up while always ensuring superior client satisfaction.
- Utilizes company Customer Relationship Management system daily to log call reports and document sales activity to submit to management.
- Prospects for new accounts, sources leads, cold calls, and researches to generate sales in the transportation, logistics, fleet, oil and gas, construction, and other similar industries
- Achieves and/or exceeds sales goals in assigned territory.
- Conducts business on behalf of Stahl Peterbilt in a professional manner and represents Stahl Peterbilt culture to ensure fulfillment of company vision and values. Assists with successful implementation of major company programs and initiatives.
- Sustains a regular maintenance schedule for company vehicle including oil changes, car washes, interior detailing, and other maintenance as required.
Employment Qualifications:
- Experience in account management and proven track record in new account acquisition, account retention, and account penetration
- Prior customer service experience in a business-to-business role is necessary.
- Intermediate computer skills (MS Office, Excel, Outlook) and ability to acclimate to PC based order entry system and CRM software.
- Must exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as ability to organize and manage time appropriately.
- Ability to travel throughout central and northern Alberta including some evenings, weekends, overnight stays.
- Knowledge of heavy-duty truck and trailer parts is not required but would be considered a strong asset.
- Valid class 5 driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract is required.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment medical and criminal record check prior to hiring.
