Apprentice Heavy Duty Service Technician

Stahl Peterbilt is searching for an energetic and responsible Apprentice Heavy Duty Service Technician to join our team in our Grande Prairie branch. The successful candidate will be a team player with a positive attitude who can work in a fast-paced environment. Must have truck and transport experience, Paccar and Cummins certified is preferred.

Job Description and Responsibilities:

Duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
  • Perform service and maintenance on Class 7 and 8 trucks
  • Diagnose and repair medium problems with medium and heavy duty trucks
  • Maintain a clean and safe workplace
  • Other duties as directed by shop foreman

  • Employment Qualifications:

  • Priority will be given to those with CAT and Cummins engine makes
  • Knowledge of engine and gear repair is an asset
  • Experience with computer diagnostics
  • Excellent trouble shooting skills
  • Must be a Certified Journeyman or Registered Apprentice
  • 2-3 years previous experience in a service or body shop environment is preferred
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment medical and criminal record check prior to hiring
