Service Manager

We are searching for a motivated and responsible Service Manager to work full time in Grande Prairie. The successful candidate will be a dynamic and energized team player with excellent communication and decision-making skills, along with the ability to meet time sensitive deadlines in a fast-paced environment. The Service Manager reports to the Branch Manager and Service Operations Manager.

Job Description and Responsibilities:

Duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
  • Responsible for daily operations of 6-day/week full-service truck shop
  • Provide leadership and direction to Mobile Service Technician
  • Effectively coaches, develops, and mentors all Service Department team members
  • Following warranty procedures
  • Organizing service work orders so that they are completed timely and efficiently
  • Scheduling staff and work orders in order to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and company profitability
  • Supervising Service Writers, Service Technicians, Shop Foremen, and the Warranty Department
  • Ensuring that all service work orders meet company policies and procedures upon completion

Employment Qualifications:

  • Experience in service, maintenance, and all types of repairs on Class 7 and 8 trucks is essential
  • Proven experience in a full service truck dealership is required
  • Proficient computer skills are necessary, i.e. Microsoft Office Suite
  • High standard of professionalism, outstanding verbal communication skills, and leadership are important characteristics to be successful in this position
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment medical and criminal record check prior to hiring
